Frank Suykens

Frank Suykens is a Senior Vice President at Hexagon, leading the Visual Computing Hub. This R&D hub specialises in computer vision, digital reality, visualization, and AR/VR. Responsibilities include Hexagon’s 3D city reconstruction technology, the HxDR platform, the Luciad portfolio, 3D meshing and point cloud processing and compression algorithms, and AR/VR visualization.

Frank holds a Ph.D. in Computer Graphics, researching photo-realistic image synthesis, from the University of Leuven, Belgium. Since 2003 he was with Luciad and, after its acquisition, joined Hexagon in 2017. He serves on the board of directors of the Open Geospatial Consortium since 2018.
