We recently had our 2nd North American HxGN LOCAL of the year at the newly renovated solution center in Huntersville, North Carolina. HxGN LOCAL events are open to anyone who wants to learn more about what Hexagon provides – from software solutions, to the latest (and fastest) coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
These events are also great for current customers to get one-on-one time with our service department and troubleshoot any production challenges they might be having. At this event, attendees experienced demos of four stationary CMMs including the GLOBAL S, as well as Leica Absolute Scanner LAS-XL, a portable measuring arm, and a PrimeScan white light system. We were also joined by MSC Software and Vero Software, who showcased their pieces of the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Digital Thread and how they’re helping customers rethink quality.
In addition to some of our newer offerings, the first part of the day featured a PC-DMIS Users’ Group, hosted by Matt Kopesky, a software test engineer at Hexagon. During the Users’ Group, Matt took questions from the group and gave a sneak peek at some of the new features of PC-DMIS 2018 R2, which had just been released. The Huntersville location gave us the unique ability to partner with a few other manufacturing companies located in the same complex. FANUC America, a world leader in robotics, opened their facility to guests and offered a factory tour. GF Machining Solutions, a leading provider of solutions and machines for the tool and mold making industry, also opened their facility and offered a guided tour of their state-of-the-art machining center.
