What is your name and position within Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence?
I’m Andrea Puglielli and I am EMEA Sales Manager for Software and Aftermarket.
How did you get into this line of work?
My experience comes from marketing and product management. I worked at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for five years as Product Manager in the light commercial vehicles business and before that I worked as a sales analyst for DIAGEO, a British beers andspirits company.
I started at Hexagon three years ago as a Product Manager at the Torino factory in Italy. Then I took the position of Project Manager for the EMEA aftermarket, with a special focus on software maintenance agreements (SMA). In this role I developed a new EMEA database to manage maintenance agreements for PC-DMIS software. Then I arrived in my current position which I have been in for just over a year.
What does your day to day look like at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence?
I analyse the Aftermarket business in all EMEA countries and work with the local Aftermarket Managers to ensure that our teams truly catch the opportunities in the market. We need to support our customers with the latest technologies to tackle their pain points and drive their business forward. My role is centred on ensuring our Aftermarket teams are delivering value to customers and achieving our EMEA budget.
What’s happening in Products and Services at the moment?
We recently announced the complete RC Line of retrofit controllers, which means that we can now retrofit CMMs of all sizes.
What are your future goals?
I want to continue my career in a sales and marketing environment because I feel that I can give more and more in this area. Maybe in future I can look forward to a global position, as I’m hoping to face new challenges and meet new cultures around the world.
What do you do for fun outside of working at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence?
During summer, road cycling. During winter, cross country skiing.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
[Laughs] I have to think about this…ok. I’m so precise and so structured that I like to plan my summer holidays in an Excel file – all for the joy of my wife!
