On demand session – Hannover Messe: making Indonesia Industry 4.0-ready

In early April 2021, the Guardian reported that global manufacturing growth reached a ten-year high, seeing expansion across employment, orders, and output. Given the impact of COVID-19 and other challenges facing the industry (skilled labour shortage being a significant one), this growth is highly encouraging.

Digital transformation and Industry 4.0 are two of the major talking points in the industry today. They will play a key role in sustaining and improving this growth, not least for emerging manufacturing powerhouses like Indonesia.

According to Asialink Business, Indonesia is now the tenth largest manufacturing nation in the world. Between 2015 and 2018, the country’s manufacturing output grew from $115 billion to $207 billion, according to data from the United Nations Statistics Division. The manufacturing sector now employs approximately 25 million workers in Indonesia.

Hexagon is increasing its footprint in Indonesia to support this industry growth and help manufacturers boost efficiencies across the product lifecycle. In this video from Hannover Messe 2021, Dr. Kaustubh Nande, Director of Marketing – Korea, ASEAN, Pacific and India, Hexagon, leads a comprehensive presentation about how Hexagon’s smart solutions are helping to make Indonesia Industry 4.0-ready.
