Paragon Medical’s Jeff Livingston shares in a video how having centralised access to real-time analysis ofcoordinate measuring machine (CMM) data is helping his company optimise its global quality control operations and production.
The global medical equipment manufacturer uses the cloud-based HxGN SFx | Asset Management application from Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division to understand and make the most of its CMM assets. It’s a real-time status monitoring tool that draws on several measurement data streams to identity and analyse machine errors and environmental changes that affect CMM performance. And crucially, the data gives Paragon Medical insight into 24-hour CMM utilisation, allowing it to gauge overall machine effectiveness (OEE).
HxGN SFx | Asset Management, which aggregates data from PC-DMIS software, CMM controllers and PULSE into a single dashboard view, enables Paragon Medical to take both immediate and longer-term business decisions, including which factories have the quality control capacity to accommodate new product lines. And the manufacturing intelligence provided can be viewed remotely and securely on a single dashboard from a PC or smartphone.
